A 3D simulation built from real ephemerides. Track the umbra as it sweeps across Greenland, Iceland and Spain, then stand under it — totality seen from a dozen locations along the path, from deep totality with the Sun high over Greenland to the Sun setting mid‑eclipse over the Mediterranean.

Every pixel is a separate integration of the Lorenz equations and their variational equation, coloured by the largest Lyapunov exponent. Warm regions are chaotic; the cool filaments winding through them are periodic windows, where the system falls back onto a stable cycle. Pan and zoom through 5.6 million precomputed integrations.
